An indoor complex food area that's worry-free even on rainy days, Miyako Yokocho was a reliable choice that didn't ruin our itinerary. With multiple shops gathered in one space, we could enjoy various cuisines little by little like a "gourmet tour" - from robatayaki and Okinawan home cooking to seafood, squid ink curry, and Thai/Korean dishes. The spacious seating and quick turnover meant less waiting stress, and the atmosphere was perfect for casual drinks with friends.
The skewers using Agu pork (Okinawan black pork), island oden, and crispy fried dishes were particularly impressive, and they paired excellently with local awamori. The prices were reasonable with high cost-performance satisfaction, and each shop has distinct signature menus, making it fun to choose. The interior decor and signboards were photo-spot worthy, perfect for taking pictures.
A tip: If you plan to visit multiple shops, we recommend ordering 1-2 small dishes at a time to taste a wider variety. It's comfortable to enjoy even in rain or strong winds, suitable for families, friends, and groups alike. If you want both diversity and enjoyment for dinner in Miyakojima, this is a space that will make you want to return.
